Scott is a veteran water industry executive with more than 25 years’ experience steeped in the fight to confront and combat the most profound challenges facing Californians today: climate change, water scarcity, infrastructure development and, ultimately, the quality of life of families and future generations.
He currently works as a Director in Black & Veatch’s Governments & Environment business practice, and in his executive role serves as the company’s global desalination business practice leader. Black & Veatch is an employee-owned engineering, procurement, consulting and construction company with a 100-year legacy of innovations in sustainable infrastructure. In his professional capacity, Scott partners with state and local governments in California and the Western United States with a focus on distributed energy, electrification and decarbonization, sustainability and resilience.
Prior to joining Black & Veatch, Scott was the Vice President of Development for Poseidon Water, where he was a member of the executive team that successfully developed the Claude “Bud” Lewis Carlsbad Seawater Desalination Plant as a Public Private Partnership.
Scott holds a B.S. in Public Policy from Brown University where he played on the NCAA Division I Varsity Football Team.
